A Personal Letter from Our Founders: Why We’re Changing the Way Pakistan Shops

When we started Mataish in a single, quiet room back in 2019, we didn’t have a massive marketing team or a grand office. All we had was a shared frustration.

We spent years watching the women in our family struggle with the same "shopping cycle": spending thousands on a suit, waiting weeks for a tailor, only to have the fabric shrink, the color fade, or the fit feel completely "off."

We realized that in Pakistan, luxury fashion often comes with a side of stress. We decided that Mataish would be different.

The "Quality Over Everything" Promise

From that very first day in 2019, we made a pact: We will never sell something we wouldn’t wear ourselves. When you see the Emerald Grace Cordset on a HUM TV drama like Neeli Kothi, or you see a celebrity carrying one of our kaftans, you aren’t just seeing a "branded" outfit. You are seeing months of fabric testing. We check the thread count of our raw silks and the durability of our velvets because we know that "Affordable Luxury" is only luxury if it lasts for years, not just one season.

Why We Brought AI to Pakistan First

People often ask us, "Why did a boutique brand like Mataish become the first in Pakistan to launch a Virtual AI Try-On Room?"

"I saw that online shopping in Pakistan had a trust problem," says Ahsan. "By launching the ‘Try It On Me’ feature, we are removing the guesswork. I want our customers to see exactly how our Emerald Grace Cordset or our luxury Kaftans look on their own body before they spend a single Rupee. It’s about giving the power back to the woman."

The answer is simple: We want to be the most honest brand in your closet.

Online shopping in Pakistan has a trust problem. We’ve all seen the "Expectation vs. Reality" disasters. By launching the "Try It On Me" feature, we are removing the curtain. We want you to see exactly how our cuts drape over your body and how our colors match your skin tone before you spend a single Rupee.

For us, being "First in Pakistan" wasn't about being high-tech it was about being highly transparent.

A Community, Not Just a Customer Base

Mataish wasn't built on a corporate board; it was built on community empowerment and the hard work of local artisans. When you wear a piece from us, you’re supporting a vision that started in a small room and has now reached living rooms across the country via the silver screen.

Whether you are a busy professional looking for a "decent" work-to-dawat outfit or a wedding guest looking for comfort, we want you to know that there is a real family behind every package that arrives at your door.

Thank you for being part of our journey since 2019. We are just getting started.

With love and gratitude,

Ahsan Ahmed
